India is the second largest producer of fruits and vegetables in the world. Exotic, sweet smelling colourful mangoes are rich in nutritional values and are normally grown in the tropical regions of the world. Cultivation of mangoes in India dates back to 2000 B.C. Presently nearly 40% of world’s mangoes are produced from India. Known as the 'King of tropical fruits' different varieties of mangoes are processed for preparing many products such as juices, pulps, squashes, jam and pickles.
